How Viktor "the Garlic" Took Alexey "the Stud" to the Nursing Home

Alexander Hant’s dynamic, award-winning debut feature displays the style and flair of a young Danny Boyle. Viktor (Yevgeny Tkachuk) is a swaggering, drunken wastrel. His mother committed suicide and his father abandoned him. Why should he care about anyone else? When it turns out that dad Alexey (Alexey Serebryakov) is still alive, mouldering away in a flat that Viktor will inherit, he agrees to transport the old goat to a nursing home. The frenetic film then softens into a road movie, in which a toxic father and son reunion blends with a comic satire on the state of modern Russia.
