Erick was just seventeen when he got into a taxi in Mexico City. The driver and two accomplices sexually assaulted him. He never went to the police, never saw a doctor and never told his nearest and dearest. The events of that night have dominated his life, ruining potential relationships and leaving him an angry young man. In C K Mak’s intensely emotional, uplifting documentary, we follow Erick as he embarks on a journey to reclaim his life. It is a tale of unburdening and reconciliation in which he becomes an inspirational symbol to fellow survivors of male rape.
