Seeds
Keen to get growing this year? Want to learn how to save seeds and support Scotland's seed sovereignty?
Though our building remains closed, you can request and receive seeds from Glasgow Seed Library. Put in a request and a volunteer will deliver seeds safely to households around Glasgow.
Glasgow Seed Library is a community-led project and a free resource. We ask only that all growers commit to growing without pesticides, and if successful, save some seeds at the end of the season to return to the library. We can provide advice and resources to help you do this!
Your seeds can be delivered within 5 mile radius of central Glasgow by bike. Seed librarians will follow a contact-free protocol to ensure safe seed-sharing during the Covid-19 pandemic.
There are plenty of seeds still available, including things that like to be sown in the summer, like peas, beans, cabbages, chard, carrots and more. Join our growing community of local gardeners and seedsavers!
