Glasgow Seed Library
Seedy Social with Richie Walsh
Sat 1 August 2020
Rocket growing
Why do we need to save seeds from a minimum number of plants? What's an isolation distance? Which plants need insects for pollination?
Join Richie Walsh, Lowlands Scotland Seed Sovereignty Coordinator for the Gaia Foundation, in a free online talk followed by an informal Q&A for seed borrowers.
A chance to hear from an experienced seed saver, meet other seed borrowers and ask questions!
Anyone who has borrowed seeds from Glasgow Seed Library is welcome to attend. We also welcome anyone who is growing plants this year, and who would like to contribute seeds to the library at the end of the year.
Don't worry if you're only at the beginning of your seed journey, this is a small, informal and welcoming event for the city's seed savers, from newbies to old hands!
A Zoom meeting link will be emailed out to all who book their place before the event.
