Glasgow Tango Studio El Abrazo Guided Practica and Milonga

El Abrazo Milonga is a relaxed and enjoyable evening of Argentine Tango social dancing. Tonight we start the evening with a Guided Practica from 8pm to 9pm, during which you may ask questions of the teachers, Sari & Jeff, and thus develop your skills in a practice context.

This is followed by a traditional Milonga from 9pm to 11pm, where the music is played in tandas and ranges from golden era tangoes, milongas and tango-valses to contemporary arrangements of traditional tunes. Occasionally DJ Jeff Allan might surprise you with a tango nuevo or alternative piece of music as well. We encourage good floor craft and use of cabeceo. If you are new to Argentine Tango this evening is a good opportunity to be introduced to this passionate dance and music and discover how it is practiced in its social form.
