Glasgow Tango Studio: El Abrazo Tango Club: Concert, Performance & Milonga

Glasgow Tango Studio welcomes some special guests to this two-part event, bringing performers from Argentina, France, USA, Finland and Scotland together. The evening begins with a performance by dancers Sari Lievonen and Jeff Allan alongside a live concert by Diablito Tango. Sari & Jeff, seminal tango teachers and performers in Glasgow, perform with tango improvisation at the heart of their dance demonstration.

Diablito Tango’s music derives from a mix of three musical cultures – tango, jazz and chanson. With Matt Baker on the double bass, Javier Cárdenas on the bandoneon and the enchanting voice of Nesrine Belmokh, this trio have risen to critical acclaim and play at CCA as part of their first Scottish tour.

We hope this performance will inspire you to put on your dancing shoes and join a milonga, accompanied by a second set from Diablito Tango and music selected by Jeff Allan.
