Glasgow Visual Art and Craft Award 2013 Launch

Glasgow Arts launches the Glasgow Visual Art and Craft Awards 2013, run in partnership with Creative Scotland. This scheme offers awards to individual artists and makers, based or resident in Glasgow, towards the costs involved in research, development and creation of new work in: Film; Digital or New Media; Installation; Sculpture; Painting; Printmaking; Graphic Design; Photography; Crafts.

There are also two mentoring opportunities for emerging artists in any art form of Visual Art or Craft. This year’s mentors are CCA’s curator Remco de Blaaj and Kay West.

Rerfreshments will be provided.

Short speeches at 6pm (Sarah Munro, Head of Arts, Glasgow Life and Stephen Palmer, Arts Officer, Creative Scotland, and guest Artist.
