Glasgow Zine Fest An Intro to Queer Autobio Comics

Sat 18 April 2020

An Intro to Queer Autobio Comics

Autobiographical comics and zines can be an empowering and easily accessible medium for writing about our own subjective experiences and reflections on our queer identities.

In this workshop we will look at a wide variety of existing queer autobio work, talk through the challenges of writing about yourself and others, and start making your own short autobio zine.

Led by Jules Scheele, illustrator of Queer: A Graphic History, Gender: A Graphic Guide, and author and illustrator of many self-published autobio comics.

Jules Scheele is a freelance illustrator, comics artist and graphic facilitator with a focus on mental health, queerness, activism and community.
