Glasgow Zine Fest Hold Your Own

Sun 19 April 2020

GZF: Hold Your Own

Hold your own is a zine workshop to explore the mental health experiences faced by D/deaf and hard of hearing people leading to the co-creation of individual zines.

We will address self care and how to hold our own using textures and smells through a visual poetry/storytelling.

This workshop will be held in a safe and supportive environment, acknowledging the barriers and issues we face in accessing mental health services and also the help we need from family, community and medical to access the right help.

:::

Alison Smith is a Deaf performance poet/filmmaker and Jonah Coman is a zinemaker, researcher and community organiser.

BSL interpreters and speech to text reporter (STTR) will be provided.
