GLITCH Film Festival Southwest of Salem: The Story of the San Antonio Four

Tue 28 March 2017

The Story of the San Antonio Four

Four young Latina lesbians - or the San Antonio Four as they became known - were effectively subject to a modern day witch-hunt. Imagine waking up to find yourself falsely convicted of child rape by a jury on the basis of your sexuality and race. Demonised in the press before the case ever went to court, their conviction for gang rape occurred at the tail end of the satanic sexual abuse fervour that gripped America during the 1980s & 90s. The documentary picks up their stories after they have been in prison for almost a decade and follows their struggle to be freed. An emotional story of both great injustice and personal strength and dignity.
