This is an award-winning film based on true events that explores the concept that it is not the homosexual who is perverse, but the society within which he lives. After his gay teenage son suffers a violent attack, Juan, a withdrawn manager at a mannequin factory struggles between paying his son's exorbitant medical bills and his last attempt at becoming partners with his boss. As he runs into unexpected betrayals the film explores both the complexities of how violence manifests in society and gender fluidity whilst simultaneously offering a profound sense of hope and possibility.
