Gnommero is a pamphlet, edited and assembled by Richard Taylor and Sarah Tripp. The contents of each volume are responses by artists and writers to one of Italo Calvino’s series of lectures, Six Memos for the Next Millennium, in which he describes literary qualities worth cherishing: lightness, quickness, visibility, exactitude, multiplicity and consistency. Gnommero: Visibility will be launched with an evening of readings, screenings and presentation the contributors are: Neil Davidson, Stuart Fallon, Kate Grenyer, Simone Hutchinson, Ben Knight, Chin Li, Giuseppe Mistretta, Eona McCallum, Anna McLauchlan, Anthony Schrag, Conal Mc Stravick, Charlotte Morgan, Laura Simpson, Richard Taylor, Iris Tenkink, Sarah Tripp, Tom Varley, Thom Walker, Daniella Watson and Rebecca Wilcox.

Gnommero is also an economic experiment in communal self-publishing. By dividing the costs of printing equally between the 20 contributors, we are able to guarantee that each volume of our pamphlet arrives when we need it to. We then divide the edition between us and distribute Gnommero in any way that feels right.

Gnommero is available from Aye Aye Books in the CCA and will be free at the launch. Gnommero was previously edited in collaboration with Eona McCallum.
