GRAMnet (Glasgow Refugee and Migration Network) returns with another film series, in collaboration with long time partners BEMIS.

Edward Lovelace’s inspirational and moving documentary follows Lawand, a young Kurdish boy who is deaf since birth. He and his family move from Kurdistan to Derby in desperate search of a better life in a world where Lawand can communicate.

This film screening will be hosted with GRAMNet member Nicola Burns, Senior Lecturer in Disability Studies (Sociology) from the University of Glasgow.
