SHORT MATTERS!
SHORT MATTERS! is the European Film Academy’s short film tour, bringing together fifteen award winners at top European festivals in 2015 to present a panorama of young contemporary European filmmaking. In this final programme German artist duo Wemke/Leinkauf play an elaborate and profoundly eloquent prank on the City of New York, whilst a burgeoning romance plays out during a field study of Polish water pollution. A Croatian boy pays a visit to his father in prison, whilst a Palestinian family receive altogether less welcome visitors. The programme ends with a surreal and poetic gaze on Athens, a place where people and animals suffer from summertime sadness.
