GZF A Study on Space – Two Poems Performed

Sun 30 April 2017

GZF A Study on Space

Christian Lemay's 'A Sermon on Skin’ explores different spaces of language and sound. As the poem moves through three different stages, an experimental soundscape works with and against it, playing with the making and breaking of those poetic and sonic spaces.

Loll Junggeburth’s ‘nord sea : a sequence’ is a place-specific cycle of poems which construct different spaces and atmospheres comprised of memories and movements of the North Sea. Based on the poet’s experiences in Lindisfarne on the Northumbrian coast, and on a funeral boat off the North-Western Coast of Germany, the poem examines the North Sea in terms of memory, identity, and the cycles of a life.
