Bailando con Margot (Dancing with Margot)

A Detective, A Woman and A Stolen Painting...
Set in 1950s Havana, Bailando Con Margot follows the story of wealthy widow and femme fatale Margot de Zárate. Caught up in the investigation over the theft of a priceless painting, Margot must prove her innocence to the visiting detective as he tries to solve the case. What are the secrets of Margot’s past, and who stole Romañach’s “La niña de las cañas”?

This exciting film from director Arturo Santana spans genres, from neo-noir to melodrama to musical. Playing with colour and cinematography to depict each chapter of Margot’s life, from 1918 through to 1959, this visually stunning film captures different eras of Havana’s history in glorious film noir fashion.
