HGFF La Pelicula de Ana (Ana's Film) - Interrupted Screening

Anna (Laura de la Uz) is an unlucky Cuban actress whose career is spiralling downwards. When she meets a group of foreign filmmakers creating a documentary about the Cuban sex-worker industry, she decides to impersonate a prostitute and become the ‘star’. Complications arise however when she learns that the film will be shot from her point of view. A character study of a woman whose life is slowly being drawn out of her hands that also works as a satire of a film industry obsessed with the female body. Directed bt Daniel Diaz Torres

A second chance to see a favourite from last year in a special interrupted screening with Dr Elena Boschi (Edge Hill University), in which there are scheduled breaks throughout the film, leaving space for small group debates.
