I, Daniel Blake + Panel Discussion

Ken Loach's Palme d'Or-winning film follows a middle aged carpenter (Daniel Blake, played by Dave Jones) who requires state welfare after injuring himself, and is joined by single mother Katie (Hayley Squires) in a similar scenario.

This screening will be followed by a panel discussion with speakers including film writer Paul Laverty, PCS and Unite the Union Representatives, as well as poverty campaigners (details to be confirmed).
