Raymond Wilson

A story of ancient plants and modern relationships.

Two friends grow closer amongst their adventures out in nature, but when Raymond and Flo realise they are not on the same page anymore, Raymond’s love for the wilderness leaves along with his friend. Inside and broken-hearted, he’s forced to admit the things he has neglected in himself and with others, while he attempts to reconnect to the Scottish outdoors. In this new commission, created for the Village Storytelling Festival 2022, I Hope Your Flowers Bloo’ follows storyteller Raymond Wilson through post-pandemic realisations in self-worth, healthy masculinity, and working-class connections to the natural world.

This is a hybrid event which you can attend in person or from your home, where we will be screening an audio version of the piece

If you are attending in person, please ensure you buy the correct ticket type as digital ticket holders will not be admitted.

PLEASE NOTE: We cannot guarantee that the BSL interpreter will appear consistently in the live-streamed version of the performance. Closed auto-captions will be available for the at-home audience.
