the lure of completeness is an imagined physical response to the holographic model of reality, perceived by human ability to have two distinct yet overlapping levels: a two-dimensional ocean of energy, and a three-dimensional concrete image. One body projected over these two levels seemingly produces two bodies acting in concert, synchronistically. Partial damage to the holographic image, similar to the human brain, creates a general or overall dulling effect which increases with the size of area affected or removed.
This new video- and sound-based work begins to explore the question of how an object or body may be cut or pared back to a single image or note.
