The Intersections of a Materials Lab: A Group Discussion examines biological, parasitical, socio-cultural and historical materials. As part of ‘Red Gold’ in the Intermedia Gallery, Sabrina Mumtaz Hasan will introduce an intervention hour - a space to respond, contrast, discuss and connect the relationships we have with materials inter-personally and collectively. Considering the changing life cycles of materiality in our practices and lives, this is up for discussion as well as the practical properties.

All attendees are invited to bring a material to the discussion. The material you bring can take any shape and size, and is not limited to being a sample, a test swatch, part of an object and/or a viscose or even liquid material.
