James Yorkston - solo performance

Performing everything from covers to solo songs from two decades ago, Yorkston will be playing ‘whatever people call out’.

The upcoming city show follows the release of Yorkston’s new album with Nina Persson of The Cardigans and Johanna Soderberg of First Aid Kit. Entitled Songs for Nina and Joanna, the album was released on August 22. The album is Yorkston’s 16th and his third recorded in Stockholm in conjunction with members of The Second Hand Orchestra. Nina and Johanna sing separately with James on five and four tracks, respectively. The record is a meditation on family, love, and parenthood, which was recorded live at Studio Rymden in Stockholm with co-producer Daniel Bengtson.
