Lock Up Your Daughters Film Making Group

Lock up Your Daughters Filmmaking is a queer collective who have made various short films and music videos over the past two years of their existence. They offer everyone at all levels of experience the opportunity to get involved with filmmaking. With an emphasis on learning, through taking part in shoots, and on sharing skills and ideas, they aim to combine a fun and friendly atmosphere with some tough love - encouraging some hard slog to turn ideas into art.

Meetings consist of script presentations, watching short films and lively discussions about filmmaking on a shoe string. You will have the chance to gain feedback on your ideas and meet people who are interested in working on your project, as well as learning the necessary skills, creative leanings, and/or equipment that will set you on your way. Productions are regularly chosen to work on together as a group and you will be intergral to the planning and development of these, organising shoots and training. Anyone is welcome to come along and the group is very open to different concepts and styles.
