Hen Hoose is a Glasgow-based songwriting collective and music production house that amplifies the creative voices of female and non-binary artists – a revolutionary act in an industry still dominated by men. Hen Hoose have teamed up with the Scottish Mental Health Arts Festival for a celebratory headline gig inspired by the theme of ‘Revolution’. The diverse and innovative musical line-up features sets from Sarah Hayes, Ray Aggs and SHEARS.

Solo artist Sarah Hayes leads a varied musical life, also collaborating with Admiral Fallow, Andrew Wasylyk, Rachel Newton and others. As a singer, flautist and keyboard player, her unique sound inventively combines indie, folk and cinematic pop.

Multi-instrumentalist and songwriter Ray Aggs is a specialist in euphoric post-punk, achieving international acclaim with projects Trash Kit, Shopping and Sacred Paws. Expect life-affirming music that fuses electronic beats with coolly recited lyrical mantras and spindly guitar lines.

SHEARS writes, records, produces and mixes electronic music at home in Leith, Edinburgh. Her live shows are a one-woman solo set-up, incorporating samples, percussion, synths and effects, along with live vocals.

Doors open at 7pm.
