Andrew Mummery Bio:

Between 1996 and 2014 Andrew Mummery set up and ran two art galleries – the Andrew Mummery Gallery, from 1996 to 2006, and Mummery + Schnelle, from 2007 to 2014. Both galleries were known for establishing the careers of emerging artists and for championing painting. Mummery has maintained a strong connection with the visual arts scene in Scotland, representing through his gallery the work of Louise Hopkins, Merlin James, Carol Rhodes and Graeme Todd, and exhibiting the work of many other Scottish artists including Michael Fullerton, Victoria Morton and Richard Wright. After closing his London gallery he moved at the end of 2015 to Dunbar, where he now works as an independent visual arts consultant. A solo exhibition of the work of Carol Rhodes, curated by Mummery, will be presented as part of this year’s Glasgow International.
