Critical City Convention

Sat 17 February 2018

Orgainisingactivism 4pmx

Inspired by radical municipalism, the Solidarity Against Neoliberal Extremism (S.A.N.E.) collective aims to nurture a process that could turn constructive dialogue into effective action. Join us as we explore 'How do we work together to grow Glasgow as a critical city?'

You are invited to attend as a citizen, an activist and as someone who actively wants to contribute to thinking and action on how we might take collective action for a radical municipalism movement in Glasgow.

The Critical City Convention is to create a space where we can:

• critique neoliberal ideological perspectives and their role in determining what happens in our City
• resist and challenge injustice and inequality
• create alternative progressive policies and practices and strategise to make them our reality.

We need to conceive a social movement that can deliver a different kind of political representation and culture of citizenship. The Critical City will have peace, justice, equality, real democracy and ecological balance as its core values.

This is a highly participatory event in which the expertise will come from you on the floor, not from the stage.

So, be prepared to bring your ideas, bring your passions and bring your voice. Together we can make a Glasgow a Critical City.
