Our Refrain

Sat 5 May 2018

Our Refrain (Unser Refrain) veers between poetic playfulness and philosophical speculation, following a group of students as they set up an experimental hub in an abandoned office building in Berlin. "A multi-voiced search for a shared perception, capable of inventing new practices of imagination, solidarity, refusal, resilience, and care." (Poetschko)

This experimental narrative film, which premiered at last year's Edinburgh International Film Festival (presented by Talbot Rice Gallery), is screened in collaboration with 1968-2018-2068 - a Radical Film Network Festival. The screening will be accompanied by the artist in conversation*.

Michael Poetschko is a visual artist, experimental filmmaker, and independent researcher based in Berlin.
