Planet Abundance is an inter-local project using feminist science fiction to collectively imagine a post-patriarchal world after capitalism. As we share our experiences and practices as musicians, visual and performance artists, environmental activists, and arts-based researchers from diverse race, class and gender identities, socio-economic backgrounds and geographic locations we aim to learn collective strategies for listening to each other’s stories and building wiser futures in a time of unprecedented environmental challenges. Generating collective dreams and imaginations of a shared future.

We will begin by listening together to a meditation on Planet Abundance recorded by Mi’kmaq musician and performance artist Na’ku’set Ansal’ewit Gould, followed by a reading of the Planet Abundance manifesto. (written transcripts of both available)

Our workshop will focus on what and how we might worship and celebrate on Planet Abundance. Led by Scotland-based artists Saoirse Amira Anis, Keng Keng and Ailie Rutherford to co-create drawings, collage, assemblages and shrines.

The artists will bring materials to work with but please feel free to bring anything you have an abundance of to share.

For more information on the Planet Abundance project and artists visit Planet Abundance.

Organised by Feminist Exchange Network, Glasgow.
