¡Quba! follows Cuba’s LGBTQ+ activists as they confront homophobia and evangelical backlash in the fight to legalize same-sex marriage, marking a historic shift in the communist nation. Set against the backdrop of Cuba’s groundbreaking 2022 Family Code, which recognizes diverse families and promotes equality, the film captures a raw, intergenerational struggle for love, dignity, and human rights. In collaboration with Scottish Queer International Film Festival.
Followed by Q&A with Kim Anno, Indigo Korres and Hugo Rivalta.
