Rabbie Burns: An Nasc le hÉirinn with Pádraig Ó Baoighill

Pádraig Ó Baoighill is an award winning Irish writer, journalist, and broadcaster who has more than twenty published books. His latest book, Rabbie Burns: An Nasc le hÉirinn (The Link with Ireland). In this Irish language book, Pádraig explores the life, works, songs, politics and more of Scotland’s national poet and in particular his links with Ireland, looking at parts of Burns’ life seldom covered elsewhere. Also explored are the links and influence of Burns on Irish language writers, such as Séamus Ó Grianna, and his links to Gaidhlig.

It is sure to be a rare treat in Glasgow to hear from one of Ireland’s foremost writers in the Irish language.
