Thai filmmaker Ratchapoom Boonbunchachoke won GSFF21's Bill Douglas Award with his 30-minute stand-out Red Aninsri; or, Tiptoeing on the Still Trembling Berlin Wall, an inventive and playful "queer espionage film made in the tradition of Cold-War-era Thai dubbed film". We screen the work again alongside excerpts of the wider trilogy the film is part of, framed by a conversation with the director, hosted by Ren Scateni, discussing his filmmaking and treatment of Thai politics and colonial history.
