Saramago and manybellsdown present: The Fountain - film and food night!

To celebrate the tenth anniversary of Darren Aronofsky's masterpiece The Fountain, a special screening will take place on Sunday 5 February at CCA. To complement the film, Saramago Cafe has created a one-off three-course food menu based on it.

The Fountain centres on the essential truth of life: everything changes. Starring Hugh Jackman and Rachel Weisz, this aesthetically stunning film tells its story through three interwoven narratives which span a thousand years. Blending elements of fantasy, history, spirituality and science fiction, The Fountain is a profound experience not to be missed. The film screening will be first, at 3pm.

Starter:
Sweet potato and pinto bean tamales with molé negro dipping sauce.

Main:
Gallo pinto with butternut squash purée and avocado, served with corn tortilla.

Dessert:
Chocolate and avocado torte (in style of tree bark) with a sugar lace dome.
