Schools Young People Exhibition
Join us for a public exhibition of work by Garnetbank Primary School, Primary 7 pupils as part of CCA's Schools and Young People Programme.
This programme aims to improve access to contemporary art and open conversations around current social issues. Engaging Glasgow primary and secondary school pupils, as well as hosting a variety of workshops throughout the year.
One key element is our outreach project to local primary schools, delivering workshops that encourage young people to consider the future of our city. As part of this we have invited our neighbours, Garnetbank Primary School, to take part in a 5-day residency in our exhibition space, giving the pupils real-life experience creating, exhibiting, and curating an exhibition.
During the workshops, pupils will engage with a variety of art making processes - printing, collage, sculpture, zine-making and performance. Whilst learning key skills in collaboration, self-expression and critical thinking.
Enter into their world, discover what young people care about today and what changes they want to see in the future.
The programme is fully funded by the UK government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund (Glasgow Communities and Place Fund)
