Scottish Writers' Centre SWC Xmas Party

The Scottish Writers’ Centre closes the year with a Xmas party of open microphone recitals from the floor, with a particular emphasis on performance poetry and its influences. Bring along some friends and a drink or two from the bar to review the year that was 2014 in Scotland.

Reading one’s own work is a vital experience for writers as a means to gain feedback and develop their own voice. The Scottish Writers’ Centre aims to be a Scotland-wide resource, to bring writers together, and spread information about our vibrant literary culture. The SWC is run solely by volunteers, therefore ‘By Writers, For Writers’ and aims to to provide a space where writers can meet and share ideas and experiences about the craft of writing and learn from those further advanced.
