Scottish Writers' Centre is delighted to welcome award-winning writer Alistair Moffat for the third in their Writers in Scottish Literary Organisations series. Alistair will reveal how he balances his time between writing non-fiction books and working as a director for various book festivals and organisations.
Born in Kelso, Scotland in 1950, Alistair Moffat is an award winning writer and journalist, a former director of the Edinburgh Festival Fringe and Director of Programmes at Scottish Television. He is the founder and director of Borders Book Festival and Lennoxlove Book Festival, and rector of the University of St Andrews. He has recently launched projects Britain's DNA, Scotland's DNA, Ireland's DNA and Yorkshire's DNA and is co-chairman of The Great Tapestry of Scotland and a director of Book Nation.
