Sora Park Intermediate

The Creative Lab's artist-in-residence Sora Park will present Intermediate, a performance work she developed during her residency at the CCA.

On the last week of June 2013, Sora overheard a phone conversation between her very first dance partner and a dance company owner that she is not suitable to assist a dance class.

“She does not look like a dancer” was the exact sentence that she overheard.

A request to assist a dance class – carelessly asked by this male dancer and eagerly accepted by Sora – started off an agglomeration of thoughts and emotions that weighed down her physical body, and forever put her at an impasse.
