Sound Thought is the annual music composition, performance and research conference run by Glasgow University music department postgraduates.
Sound Thought 2014 will provide a platform for postgraduate music students to present their work to an academic audience and an engaged public. The conference will present research and practice from a range of sound and music disciplines in an environment which contrasts, relates, and contextualises them. The event will engage the public with music research from across the UK and promote understanding of the research field as well as enhance the research environment at the university through interdisciplinary and inter-institutional collaboration. A final publication from the event will be produced in collaboration with The University of Glasgow’s peer reviewed postgraduate journal eSharp.
