St Mungo's Mirrorball: Poetry Showcase 3

Niall Campbell is a Scottish poet originally from South Uist in the Western Isles. He received both an Eric Gregory Award in 2011 and a Robert Louis Stevenson Fellowship in 2011. Niall also won the Poetry London Competition in 2013. His first pamphlet After the Creel Fleet was released in 2012 by Happenstance Press. Moontide, his first collection, is published by Bloodaxe and is a Poetry Book Society Recommendation.

Tolu Ogunlesi was born in 1982. He is the author of a collection of poetry, Listen To The Geckos Singing From a Balcony (Bewrite Books, 2004) and a novella, Conquest & Conviviality (Hodder Murray, 2008). He was awarded a Dorothy Sargent Rosenberg poetry prize in 2007, the Nordic Africa Institute Guest Writer Fellowship in 2008, and a Cadbury Visiting Fellowship by the University of Birmingham in 2009. His fiction and poetry have been published in The London Magazine, Wasafiri, Farafina, PEN Anthology of New Nigerian Writing, Litro, Brand, Orbis, Nano2ales, Stimulus Respond, Sable, Magma, Stanford’s Black Arts Quarterly and World Literature Today, among others. He lives in Lagos, Nigeria and is currently in Scotland as part of the Scottish Poetry Library’s Commonwealth Poets United programme.

Mary Thomson was born in Cheshire, spent her childhood on a farm and her working life in Yorkshire as a curator, art critic and writer. Inspired by her first year of living in that part of Glasgow, East End is the most recent of the four pamphlets she has published and the second to be shortlisted for the Callum Macdonald Memorial Award for pamphlet poetry.
