A consortium of STUDIO POP, Clyde Electronics and Dunard Primary School invite you to discover and get involved in DOT TO DOT Maryhill Station pilot project. In this event we want to hear your voice and ideas! Let’s activate the vacant spaces!

DOT TO DOT Maryhill Station is a landscape recovery action that reactivates a derelict urban void through the implementation of temporary uses and play-elements by involving community-led place making. The project creates a circular economy within the local neighbourhood. DOT TO DOT is both a civic platform and digital social application that operates like a time-banking system by connecting local people in the culture of sharing and remaking. This bottom-up initiative makes effective use of a rundown municipal site by contributing to the regeneration of urban life and addressing ecological, landscape and architectural goals. Its design principles are remaking and repurposing. It is an agile urban catalyst able to repurpose disused spaces and rebrand stigmatised residential areas by contributing to the enhancement of the green infrastructure in cities.

DOT-TO-DOT promotes educational activities with the creative industry in areas of reuse, remaking and repurposing. It includes hands-on workshops to engage the local community in Maryhill and to develop new skills. DOT-TO-DOT Maryhill Station generates a distinctive play-place by establishing an outdoor civic arena with recreational areas, environmental interventions, public art events, pop-up cinemas, flea markets, cafes and talks where students, parents, teachers, creative social entrepreneurs and the community in general can come and celebrate together.
