Kirsty Logan is the author of the story collection The Rental Heart & Other Fairytales (Salt, 2014). Her first novel, The Gracekeepers, about a circus boat in a flooded world, will be out in the UK, US and Canada in early 2015. She has worked as the literary editor at The List, and is currently a mentor for teenage writers.


Hal Duncan is the Glasgow-based award-winning author of VELLUM and INK. Other work includes novels, short fiction, poetry, non-fiction, musicals and collaborations with the bands Aereogramme and The Dead Man’s Waltz.


Elizabeth Reeder, originally from Chicago, now calls Scotland home. Her short writing has been widely published in journals and anthologies and has been broadcast on BBC Radio 4 as stories, drama, and abridgements. Her debut novel, Ramshackle, is published by Freight Books and was shortlisted for the 2013 Scottish Mortgage Investment Best First Book Award, the 2012 Saltire First Book Award, and longlisted for the 2013 Author’s Club Best First book. Her second novel, Fremont, is published by Kohl Publishing. She teaches on the Creative Writing Programme at University of Glasgow.


Katherine McMahon is an Edinburgh based performance poet, who has been been a finalist or winner in slams run by the Edinburgh University Literature Society, Utter! and Tea Fuelled. Her first pamphlet, Treasure in the History of Things, is out on Stewed Rhubarb press, paired with a CD album in collaboration with musician and sound designer Fiona Keenan.
