Take One Action Film Festival showcases some of the most urgent, inspiring and challenging international cinema exploring social and environmental justice – but, for the first time, all films and events can be accessed from anywhere in the UK.
12 feature films and 14 short films, which you can watch at any time during the festival dates, are accompanied by live Q&As with a host of international filmmakers and campaigners, which will take place at 20:30 each evening of the festival. You can also join 4 additional live events – workshops, panel sessions etc. – at 16:00 on each Saturday and Sunday. All live events will be accessible free of charge, from anywhere in the world.

All films in the festival will be screening with full subtitles (“closed captions”) for D/deaf and hard-of-hearing audiences. All Q&As will have live captions for D/deaf and hard-of hearing audiences. Live BSL interpretation will be offered for the opening and closing film Q&As, as well as for Pier Kids. Audiences can select how much to pay for film screenings, depending on their circumstances.
