Geneva Sills
TSP's May event presents photographic artist Geneva Sills. Sills explores the questionable nature of autobiography through highly aestheticised images which she stages carefully. Her practice is interwoven with historical and contemporary political concerns that playfully utilises the history of painting and painters, as well as advertisement, to comment on sexuality and the role of the artist. We will announce who will respond to Sills' work on our social media shortly.
Sills striking photographs offer ample opportunity to discuss visual codes of sexuality and gender. After the presentation the conversation opens up to the audience so please come prepared to contribute to this important dialogue.
Sills studied at The Glasgow School of Art MFA program. She currently lives between Scotland and the US.
