Singer-songwriter duo The Breath is acclaimed guitar whiz, Stuart McCallum (ex-Cinematic Orchestra) and singer/flautist Ríoghnach Connolly (BBC Folk Award winner for ‘Folk Singer Of The Year’). At the heart of their unique contemporary alt-folk sound is Connolly’s jaw-dropping voice, stirring and deeply personal storytelling (combined with her mischievous humour), alongside Stuart’s understated brilliance and perfectly measured guitar. Renowned for their powerful live shows, they perform stripped bare in an acoustic setting allowing the emotional depth of their performances to shine through. “an affecting blend …. McCallum provides the grandeur and artifice and Connolly the intimacy and purity” (Uncut)

Fiddler Chloë Bryce is an emerging talent in Scotland’s folk scene. Brought up a Gaelic speaker in the North Highlands, her music is informed by a deep regard for the old tunes and songs embedded in Highland culture. Joined by fellow North Highland musician, Megan MacDonald on accordion, and highly sought-after guitarist, Luc McNally, the trio are set to become an exciting fixture in Scotland’s traditional music scene. United in their desire to unearth the music of their native homelands, they marry old melodies with self-penned material to create a sound that is evocative of times past, but also compellingly new.
