the east ate Bottl'a'ginger & ...

Please note this event will take place at MILK Cafe, 452 Victoria Rd

A pay-what-you-feel dinner exploring sugar flavour profiles, fermentation methods and the healing qualities of botanically brewed drinks. Each bottl’a’ginger will be paired with a small dish (and an alcoholic beverage or two…).

Brigtoun Soda Lab is a project which explores the East End’s heritage of food manufacturing, and in particular, the soft drinks industry. Its aim is to create a new, positive identity for the area and its community by re-introducing small batch food & drink manufacturing to Bridgeton. All drinks are made and manufactured with a social and environmental awareness. Ingredients include organic fruit, roots and herbs, some locally grown by the project at Urban Edge, and manufactured using a natural fermentation process. Profit from each bottle sold goes towards supporting community food projects in the local area, providing individuals and families with much needed access to affordable, fresh & nutritious food as well as the opportunities, support and skills to experience, prepare and share a healthy meal through a Pay-What-You-Feel programme of food events.
