English songwriter Boo Hewerdine is the lead singer of indie legends The Bible. Brooks Williams is a slide guitar wizard from Statsboro, Georgia, USA. Their plan: to record an album using vintage mics and equipment in just five days. After a day and a half they realised they had finished. Recorded live in the order you hear on the record, their aim was to capture the sound of two guitarists and singers from completely different backgrounds working together in harmony, and the result was even better than they had hoped for.
More than 400 of Hewerdine's songs have been recorded by artists including Eddi Reader, k.d. lang, Jerry Douglas, Kris Drever, Heidi Talbot. Over the course of 17 albums, Williams has secured a peerless reputation as a songwriter as well as being recognised as one of the world’s best guitarists. Their combined talents revealed natural writing chemistry, transforming their abundant material into the music they'll perform at this event.
