The Glasgow Jam

Sun 19 November 2017

P3260232aa sc27

We start with a one-hour physical class and then the space is offered for a jam, a collaborative exploration of improvisation in its myriad forms. Whether you want to jam in Contact Improvisation, music, dance, visual arts, voice or text…this is an invitation to such an opportunity.

We welcome artists of any form and any experience as this is an inclusive space for exploration and improvisation. Please bring comfortable clothes to move in, water and, if you need it, a snack. There is no need to move for the duration of the class and jam. You will be able to observe supportively and change between art forms.

@TheGlasgowJam generates opportunities for everyone to explore their creativity through multiple art forms, including movement, music and visual art, in a facilitated space. We work in a way that attempts to create these opportunities in an inclusive, ethical way and encourage participants to feedback to us about improving and expanding what we are able to offer. We hold twice monthly open improvisation jams, classes and workshops around Glasgow. Please visit our website for further details and our regular programme.
