the triumph of geology is total is a collaborative publication by Amelia Bywater and Scott Rogers, developed with Publication Studio Edmonton. Using the resources of The House that Heals the Soul, Bywater and Rogers will produce further copies of this publication to be launched alongside a version of the performance Breathing Sink from which it derives.

The performance and the publication both index the geyser fields of Yellowstone National Park, a site of significant geothermal activity and complex tourism infrastructure. This environment carries a deep-time resonance mixed with amusement park novelty. The performance and publication negotiate an expanded consideration of this location, aligning human bodies, their processes, extensions, and frailties alongside hard data and photographic depictions of the site.
