In this lecture and in-conversation event, scholar and curator Jeanne Vaccaro will explore trans visual arts and their curatorial practice, drawing on her work with the Museum of Trans Hirstory & Art (MOTHA) and her ongoing scholarship.
She will then be joined in conversation with Brooke Hailey Hoffert and Nat Raha to consider how non-normative narratives can be explored through visual art and possible methods and modes of trans curation. The conversation will investigate how trans is curated, touching upon discussions of representational justice, visibility, and institutional transwashing.
