Transmission Gallery Beatriz Santiago Muñoz Artist Talk

Beatriz Santiago Muñoz’s work uses specific existing situations and draws out relationships present within them; between people, histories, material conditions, and the non-human environment.

As part of GI 2014 and in collaboration with Transmission Gallery, Beatriz Santiago Muñoz will be discussing her past and current work including Post-military Cinema - a moving image project about the ideology embedded in the physical landscape, as well as the material trace and new meanings created by users and dwellers of the a recently closed US Navy Base in the town of Ceiba, Puerto Rico.

Post-military Cinema will be exhibited at Transmission Gallery from the 4 April – 22 May. This event is programmed by Transmission Gallery as part of Glasgow International Festival 2014. Supported by Glasgow International, Glasgow Life and Creative Scotland.
