Two Rivers Rumman Festival

This September Two Rivers present the Rumman Festival – the first installment of what will hopefully become an annual event. The Rumman Festival aims to present a new narrative on Iraqi culture.

Over the course of two days, we’ll be hosting films, live music, workshops and talks which will explore how Iraqis living in the diaspora are contributing to the regeneration of their homeland and how many still have hopes of being able to return one day. The festival will also shine a light on creatives inside Iraq who are working to shape a post-conflict identity. This year’s festival coincides with Eid celebrations so Two Rivers will also be hosting a delicious, traditional Iraqi Eid brunch at The Project Café.

مهرجان رمان

في شهر أيلول القادم سيقيم مشروع النهرين المهرجان رمان الأول والذي نطمح ان يكون سنويا
ويهدف المهرجان الى عرض بطريقة جديدة للثقافة العراقية
وعلى مدار يومين ستعرض أفلام وموسيقى حية وورش عمل ونقاشات التي تهدف الى إيجاد صيغ لمساهمة العراقيين الذين يعيشون في الشتات، في بناء وتطوير البلد الام ولإنعاش امالهم في ان يتمكنوا يوما في العودة الى الوطن الام
سوف يلقي المهرجان الضوء على المبدعين الذين يعيشون داخل العراق والذين يعملون لتشكيل هوية ما بعد الصراع الجاري في البلد
يتزامن مهرجان هذا العام مع احتفالات العيد حيث يستضيف مطبخ النهرين وجبة غداء وعشاء تقليدية لذيذة في مقهى المشروع
